Fireboard dispatched companies to the home across from 83 Ardmore ave, reported to be the corner house. Chief 19-9 arrived to 76 Ardmore ave, reporting heavy fire in the rear with fire through the roof of a 3 story twin. He also had wires arching in the rear and requested Peco with a rush. Companies went in service with 1-3.4 water lines but were quickly chased from the home by an explosion. Command requested the 2nd alarm and a 2nd r.i.t. to the scene. Several supply lines were dropped to supply the fire scene. Exterior ops were put in place with ladder pipes from ladder-19 & 20 and numerous exterior handlines and deck guns. Once fire was knocked from the outside, companies re-entered the dwelling to hit hot spots
